One of the most anticipated shows of the summer 16’ Red Rocks season, Flume played along with Vince Staples and Chrome Sparks at the infamous amphitheater on August 18th. The enormous venue with a capacity bordering on 10,000 was packed to the brim with a lively crowd. Opening with “Holdin On” and closing an encore with “Take a Chance” feat. Little Dragon, Flume primarily played songs from his newest album Skin.
Playing from about 9:50 to 11:20, his set did feel unfortunately short and left out a few singles such as “Some Minds” and “Collarbones” that could have rounded out a crowd-pleasing show. We all love Harley (Flume) for his goofy nature and light-hearted Instagram posts, and his commentary during the show was airy and fun. He echoed the common sentiment that playing Red Rocks drew an enormous crowd to which he received an enthusiastic response.
Flume will be headed east to continue his world tour, including ten shows in (his birthplace) Australia, with many dates sold out worldwide.

Are you a Bass Head ?
They will be playing at least one show in Minnesota. Three years ago I saw my first Excision show in Wallingford, CT, featuring 100,000 watts of bass. Since then, I have seen Excision live four times, every time being louder and heavier than the previous. Yes this tour will feature a 150,000 watt pk soundsystem. Yes rising bass music stars Minnesota and Protohype will be joining the tour on select dates. Undeniably Excision will have new tricks up his sleeve with the visual team, and you can be dead sure this will be Ex’s heaviest tour to date. Excision will be hitting 44 tour dates, ending the trip with a Red Rocks show, which should be legendary.
Excision’s most recent song, “Night Shine”, showcases his taste for heavy bass wobbles and epic chord progressions. Produced alongside The Frim with vocals from Luciana, this song is exceptionally loud and crisp. Excision’s wobbles are always wet and dynamic.
