Slander is an American DJ duo consisting of Derek Anderson and Scott Land based in Los Angeles. They are best known for their unique sound and subgenre “heaven trap”. If you haven’t heard of this genre, check out the dreamy synths in their latest release “Superhuman” ft. Eric Leva.
Anderson and Land met at their fraternity at UC Irvine in California and became friends through their love of producing music. They later went to and graduated from Icon Collective, a music production school together with NGHTMRE. The name Slander was combined from both their names names: “S(cott) Land” and “Ander(son)”. Now they are blowing up fast in the EDM scene and have already performed at EDC (Las Vegas, Orlando and Mexico), Nocturnal Wonderland, Electric Zoo and Sun City Music Festival.
Check out their lit EDC set from this year:
Slander is also a part of the Gud Vibrations radio show with NGHTMRE (which you should follow on soundcloud). The radio show had a hugely successful tour this fall and we’re sure they will be touring again soon.
You don’t want to miss them when they come to Royale 9/8 for their Superhuman Tour. They will most definitely have the crowd going wild.

Coming off of some dope collaborations (check out ‘Caviar’) and an EP, Chemistry, Quix has built up a solid reputation for creating original, fresh trap music. As SLANDER and NGHTMRE release singles from their upcoming Nuclear Bonds EP, remixes have been popping up here and there. My favorite so far is YOU (Quix remix), which slaps with massive 808s and crazy leads. This song is available for free on Quix’s Facebook. Be sure to check out QUIX on soundcloud for more free music.

NGHTMRE is an excellent producer as of late. Having worked with major record labels such as Mad Decent and Ultra, he is no stranger to the electronic music game. Jumping on the No Type hype, he just put out a remix of the song by Rae Sremmurd. This song really grooves and works off the catchy lyrics of the original. Be sure to download this song for free by following NGHTMRE on soundcloud.

NGHTMRE is known for his various trap remixes, including his most famous Showtek’s ‘We Like To Party’ Festival Trap Edit, featured in sets from various DJ’s all over the world. In his newest release, NGHTMRE moves away from his traditional trap edits and towards a more groovy/deep-house vibe remixing Rae Sremmund’s ‘No Type’. Even though the production on this track is on the minimal side, NGHTMRE still came through with a clean and smooth-flowing remix. Hopefully we’ll be able to listen this side of NGHTMRE more often, seeing that he has future potential for deep house-type tracks and remixes.

Remixes of the Elliphant ft. Skrillex song, “Only Getting Younger”, have been pouring out of mad decent. Producers such as Milo & Otis and NGHTMRE have been dropping remixes left and right. Skrillex has the amazing ability of putting out well-crafted and original remix albums – for example his Recess Remixes compilation was filled with several insane takes on the original song. TJR just released a remix of “Only Getting Younger” which brings on his bouncy melbourne style of dance music.
