Drum and Bass is definitely cool again. After a massive break to work on his Feed Me project, Jon Gooch has returned from his hiatus with new Drum and Bass material from Spor. Alter ego producers are very cool – it’s hard to imagine how one popular artist can handle two projects at the same time. I’m looking forward to more near drum and bass releases from artists such as Modestep (who’s most recent release, ‘Snake’ is very awesome), Pendulum (who has confirmed a second album), Netsky, and now of course, Spor.

This new remix is grimy – you can clearly hear Feed Me’s style through the insane growls. I’m not surprised Spor came out with a remix first rather than just dropping an album out of nowhere. Since his absence from the scene has been so lengthy he’ll have to slowly build up hype for the Spor Name. You can absolutely cout on more music from Spor in the future. Not only has Feed Me been dropping unreleased Spor tracks at his shows, but he also confirmed new Spor material last year.

From Feed Me’s Facebook Page:

Album 2 is taking shape also, hopefully late summer….Spor and Seventh Stitch after that.

New Spor and Feed Me album? That’s a lot of work for Jon Goch – I would be very suprised if he lived up to this statement. However, the release of this new remix shows that Spor is very active. I’m excited for Seventh Stitch as well – for those who don’t know Seventh Stitch is Feed Me’s third alias. Seventh Stitch makes really low key, chill, ambient music.

You can check out a Seventh Stitch song here:

So until then keep yourself strapped tight for some Spor – if Jon Gooch is actively working on the Spor project, this means he will surely be releasing new material.
