I only heard about Ta-Ku recently – this artist popped up a few years ago on soundcloud sporting a mission called “50 Days, 50 Beats”. Every day for fifty days he uploaded a new song to Soundcloud, resulting in a compilation called “50 Days for Dilla”, a tribute to the 90s producer J Dilla. For the next year Ta-ku continued to output both remixes and original work which incorporates hip-hop and new sounds like trap and jersey club. Two months ago Ta-ku released “Songs to Break Up To” which racked up millions of plays on soundcloud.
